My Story
I'm Alfred Cheng, founder of Lower Back Pain Coach Pty Ltd to share a personal, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) solution I developed for non-specific lower back pain (LBP). After conventional treatments failed to provide lasting relief, and a chiropractor told me that I need ongoing visits, I researched alternatives. Gone through trial and error with my own body, I created the MPMS (Mechanical Problem Mechanical Solution) Method, which combines one popular stretching exercise and one chiropractic stretch. I have submitted the provisional patent application. It consistently relieved my pain within seven days and has kept me pain-free for 10 years. This is my personal experience.
Initially hesitant to share the method due to time and financial constraint. I now aim to help others to relieve the non-specific LBP as a way of give back to the society. My goal is not profit, but to offer a simple, cost-effective, and accessible way to manage non-specific LBP, potentially saving billions in healthcare costs.
Mission:
To prove the MPMS method as the best initial approach for managing non-specific LBP and make it widely accessible.
Vision:
To complete a clinical trial and position MPMS as a first-line treatment before resorting to other professional or surgical options.
Goals:
Help users become pain-free within seven days using the DIY MPMS method.
Justify a clinical trial through successful results.
Secure funding to support broader implementation.
Funding for clinical estimated to be $1 million.
Why this MPMS method is unique?
The chiropractic movement, which I refer to as the "Cross-Leg Twist," gently rotates the lower spine, much like loosening a bolt and nut to relieve tension. The other popular stretching exercise, which I call the "Semi-Pushup," which uses your own body weight to help restore the spine’s natural curvature. Together, these exercises form a simple yet effective approach to relieving non-specific lower back pain. Today, variations of these exercises are widely featured on YouTube and in many publications addressing back pain. Yet most advice includes a dozen if not dozens of exercises, leaving sufferers unsure which ones truly work. To complicate matters, these resources often promote technical medical jargon, requiring users to study before they can even begin.
As someone who has lived with non-specific lower back pain, I just needed something effective, straightforward, and easy to apply right now. That need sparked my DIY research journey. In my view, the two exercises I created meet all those criteria. It’s rare for a complex problem to have a simple solution, but this might be one of those rare cases—much like the story of Lorenzo’s Oil, which continues to inspire me.
Mainstream medical approaches offer countless treatments for non-specific lower back pain. While most of them are effective, they often take weeks if not months to be 100% pain free, and the financial burden is staggering billions spent on medical bills and lost productivity.
